DOBRINJ, a village in the north-eastern, central part of the
island of Krk, 10 km south of Omisalj.
It lies on easily
cultivable soil, favourable for farming. Dobrinj is located at
the intersection of the regional road Klimno - Sveti Vid
Miholjice and a local road. |

Situated in a fertile valley, the village has maintained all
features of a farming agglomeration (quality local wines,
brandy, olive oil). The traditional connection with the coast -
Soline (former saltern), Klimno (shipbuilding) and Silo - has
been still preserved. Clear seawater, beautiful beaches and
delicious food attract, unfortunately still rare, visitors to
Dobrinj. In collaboration with other places (Vrbnik, Omisalj)
folk festivals are organized (in July), as well as the music
school of "sopela" and folklore events, common to the entire
island.
