SILO, a village and port on the eastern coast of the northern
part of the island of Krk, in the cove of Stipanja, opposite of
Crikvenica.
The cove is
protected from south and east winds by a narrow and low
peninsula, which ends in the cape of the same name. Economy is
based on farming and fishing. Silo is connected with the
interior of the island of Krk by a regional road. |
