MASLINICA, a village and harbour in the cove of the same name,
on the western coast of the island of Solta.
The coast around Maslinica is indented, with a number of coves
and small pebble beaches (Tepli Bok, Soskova, Poganica, Vela
Luka). A local road connects Maslinica with other places on the
island. The cove provides docks for smaller yachts and is well
protected from all winds. |

Maslinica is a place of unique natural beauty, with a
well-indented coast and numerous pebble beaches. The coastal
belt with a number of islets (Stipanska, Radula, Balkun,
Polebrnjak, Grmej, Kamicic) offers excellent opportunities for
underwater fishing and angling. The population of Maslinica has
always been dependent on the sea. Skilled fishermen are engaged
in tourism as well, and the village is famous for fresh fish.
The traditional fishermen's fiesta is organized during the
tourist season.
