PROMAJNA, a village and cove on the Makarska Riviera, 6 km northwest of Makarska; population 231. A larger part of the village lies below the slopes of Biokovo Mountain, along the old coastal road. In recent times, due to the development of tourism, the village started to expand toward the coast. About 1 km northwest of the village is the Children's Village (Institute for Children Hydrotherapy).

Promajna lies along a nice beach; the village provides very good opportunities for peaceful vacations and pleasant walks. The coastal promenade leads to the nearby Baska Voda. Occasional entertainment programs are organized during the tourist season and on the occasion of the Homeland Thanksgiving Day (5th of August) the Fishermen's Night is organized.
